Auditions for “Company” – LSUA Empty Space Players
November 30, 2018 @ 6:00 pm
Winner of 7 Tony Awards, Stephen Sondheim’s groundbreaking musical Company is a wildly funny look at relationships. Over a series of dinner parties, dates and conversations with his friends, the perennially single Bobby attempts to understand the pros and cons of marriage and the meaning of the word “commitment.” Company also features a brilliant score by one of the greatest composers of our time.
Those auditioning are required to prepare and perform one Broadway-style song. Taped accompaniment is acceptable, and a piano accompanist will be available. If using piano accompanist, please be prepared to provide the pianist with a set of sheet music in the correct key. Those auditioning are also asked to prepare a brief monologue (does not have to be memorized), or they will be asked to do cold readings from the script. Audition forms may be filled out at the audition.
Performances will be April 4 through April 14, 2019, Thursday – Sunday. For more information, contact the director, Robert Harper, at 318-473-6473, or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
